Happy Valentines Day!

I sure know how to have fun on this special evening...did 30 min. on the ellipticisor (sp?) I think it is easier than walking the hills, for sure. Ugh, I will have to crawl out early in the a.m. and walk before work. Good-night all.

Thanks for the good words on my blog. Came to yours to see your goals. My advice, write them down, refer to them often. It really helps.

I'm still struggling, especially with the diet, but having goals in black and white (or whatever colors you choose :)) helps me. I'm not 100% successful in making the right choices based on those goals, but make more good than bad.

Keep up the good work!

I just found your comment on my blog -- I've been a little slow getting them set up this year. I still don't know how to get them in the feeder. I think that will be a Mark question. I did not blog a whole lot the first year (or last year) but I found reading the blogs to be very encouraging. When I first started the whole Marathon thing 2 years ago, everyone thought I had gone nuts -- I was never an athlete and had not ever exercised on a regular basis. I started out telling myself that I could walk for 8 hours and finish it (at the time I listened to books on an MP3 player when I walked. I figured a good book would get me thru the 8 hour walk). Somewhere along the way, I decided that 8 hours was an awful long time so I decided I wanted to run a little and do it in 6 hours. I did it in 6 hours and I now listen to oldies on an I Pod as I run! I didn't do Chicago last year -- I did 3 half marathons instead. I plan on signing up this year to do the Twin Cities Marathon which is on the same day as Chicago (I have a son there). The one thing this whole thing has shown me is how important exercise is and how much better I feel when I exercise. Now -- if I could just apply that to my eating!
